For the final project of the year, the rhetorical assemblage
project the topic I am deciding to focus on is how expensive higher education
is in America. The problem is that students who take out loans to pay for their
education end up leaving college with more debt than they can handle. Debt is a
never-ending cycle and generations after generations are accumulating more debt
from student loans. The audience of this rhetorical assemblage will be the
legislators of the United States government. This means that it will adopt a
completely professional tone and will have to sufficiently inform and influence
the audience. The medium for this will most likely be a persuasive essay, but
there are other mediums that could be used. The constraints of this would be
the bankers who make money off student debt, the lobbyist who work for these
bankers and I’m sure there are a bunch of different regulations that the
government has in place that could be a constraint.
