long and boring, that is expected when you are doing college work. In the
reading Rhetoric can be defined as situational
and a method of altering the meaning, thought and action of reality. A rhetorical
situation is mentioned as a combination of individuals, events, and objects
that can produce an urgent demand, which has the power to be partially or
completely eliminated if rhetorical discourse can inhibit a person’s action or
choice to take the importance out of the need. This rhetorical situation,
according the Blitzer, incorporates three distinct constituents which are, exigence,
audience and constraints. To explain exigence is basically the argument, for
example I am for abortion. My audience would be the women that are in their
current situation or about to be. I targeted them because they are going
through the stress of bringing life into the world. As men we cannot say yes or
no to keep the child it is up to the women to decide upon that action. The
constraints in this would be congress. The ones who enforce the laws are predominately
males. I feel that women do not have enough say and powerful position as men.
So from a political women’s point of view I believe her word would be more effective
than a mans
