Blog #1

Writing is putting ones imagination, thoughts, and dreams into words on a paper. Writing is transforming all of those thoughts into a tangible, readable form. Writing is malleable and permanent. It serves as a foundation for our world. We would not know about the intricacy of the history of our ancestors or the drama going on in the world of celebrities without writing. Most importantly, writing is a freedom of expression; it allows individuals to share their reflections with the world. Without writing we wouldn’t have all the inspiring novels we struggled to close before the finish. A remix is a different version of something that has already been created or has already occurred. In a way, writing can be considered a remix: a remix of our wildest thoughts and dreams, a remix of everyday instances that occur in life. My expectation for English 1102 is to learn more about writing because writing has not always been my strong suit. Putting my imagination, thoughts, and dreams into words is not exactly easy for me. I hope to be inspired and I hope to be encouraged to think. During the first class, I was inspired to think about the different remixes in the world today, which I thought was extremely interesting. Remixes in our world is not a topic that I usually think about, until this first class, and I enjoy thinking outside of the box. I hope to keep being inspired like I was in the first class for the rest of the fall semester!
